Frequently Asked Questions

What to Bring:

-Warm Clothing: Even on warm summer days, desert nights can get chilly. Layer up to stay cozy under the stars

*During the spring and Fall, the nights are much colder than the daytime temperatures! (We do provide blankets, but a jacket or sweater is always a good idea!)

*The winter nights can very cold, so heavy coats and gloves are a must!

-Comfortable Shoes: We will be operating in dirt locations, so wear something sturdy and comfy. We recommend close toes shoes

-Flashlight: A small, red-light flashlight is best—bright white lights can ruin your night vision and the experience for others, so please leave your big bright flashlights in the car

-Binoculars: If you have a pair, feel free to bring them along for a closer look at the constellations (though our scopes do the heavy lifting)

-Food & Drinks: We don’t provide snacks or drinks, but feel free to bring your own if you’d like to enjoy something under the stars

What to Know:

-Weather: We wish we could promise clear skies every night—but the weather has a mind of its own. If rain, clouds, or other conditions are obvious, we’ll cancel the tour the day before. If things are looking uncertain on the day of your tour, we’ll keep watch and make the final call by mid-afternoon.

If we do have to cancel, you’ll have the option to reschedule for another night (subject to availability), or receive a full refund—no hassle, no worries. We know you’ve planned for a special night under the stars, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure you still get one.

-Pets: As much as we love our furry companions, we kindly ask that you leave pets at home for the safety and comfort of all our guests (and the wildlife we share the night with). Stargazing nights are quiet, dark, and often filled with delicate equipment—not exactly pet-friendly conditions.

Service animals are, of course, always welcome.

-Phone Usage: We ask that you keep your phone on silent or off, and use a red-light mode when needed to preserve the magic of the night sky.

-Timing: Arrive 15-20 minutes before your tour starts so we can begin promptly. The sky doesn’t wait for anyone!

-Location Details: We host tours at various locations, some with bathrooms and others without. We’ll let you know which site we’re at in your confirmation email.

-Accessibility: Some of our locations are handicap accessible, while others are not. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us ahead of time, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

-Cancellations: Life happens, and we understand plans can change! If you need to cancel, we offer a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled tour.

After the 48-hour mark, we can’t offer a refund, but we’re happy to help you reschedule your tour for another date, or we can provide you with a gift card for future use. We want to make sure you have a chance to experience the stars, even if plans shift!

A Note About Photos 📸

We love that you want to capture the magic of the night! However, we ask that you wait until the end of the evening to take photos. The first part of our tour is all about soaking in the stars and connecting with the sky—flash photography or adjusting camera settings can disrupt the experience for others and make it harder to enjoy the moment.

At the end of the tour, feel free to take as many photos as you'd like—whether it’s a snapshot of the sky or a memory with new friends under the stars. We want you to leave with photos that truly reflect the magic of your experience!
